I Collect old cast iron spirit stoves, free from tank.
What do I know about them?
These are very simple stoves, which in most cases burn spirit directly without evaporation.
They have been in use since about 1820, when the industrial production of methylated spirits begun, till after the World War II. By now, I have met them only on the territory of the ancient Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Germany and Poland.
Small dictionary of names:
English: spirit, spiritus, alcohol stove - brener - rechaud
German: spirituskocher, spiritusbrenner
Hungary: spiritusz fözö, spiritusz égö
Poland: kuchenka spirytusowa, maszynka spirytusowa, palnik spirituszowy
Czech: lihový vařič, lihový hořák, lihový kahan
